Random Thoughts Of Cerebral Violence 17.

*****Warning: The Ability For Critical Thinking Required Before Reading This Post. High Levels Of Sarcasm And Bloody Humor Present. May Hurt The Feelings Of The Thin Skinned And The Weak Minded, The Slow Witted Need Not Continue.*****

**** Now I talked about this dude Ben Roethlisberger and the rape allegation he had leveled against him last year right HERE.

I pointed out that NFL commissioner, Roger "the punisher" Goodell, didn't much as say a word about it which was strange since he loves to put players on ice for misconduct.

(I got a color coded suspicion as to why.)

Well here we go again with the same player and different woman.......

Now I don't why it takes so long to interview a suspect, or why this dude is not in bracelets but that's besides the point.

I want to see what Goodell does now, I'm not saying Ben did it, but if this thing goes to court then I better not see his ass in a uniform this season.

****Big up to Mo'Nique on her Oscar win.

Hands down no one did it better then she did.

I was hoping that Gabourey Sidibe would get one but oh well.

****That's it...you need to cool your heels.

Looks like someone has been skipping out on anger management classes.

NY Daily News:

Cops are hunting for Naomi Campbell after she assaulted her limo driver in Midtown on Tuesday afternoon, police sources said.

Campbell slapped and slugged the 27-year-old driver, then bolted from the black Cadillac Escalade at E. 58th St. and Second Ave. just after 3 p.m.

She was last seen running away from the scene.

"There has been a criminal complaint made out against her. She's obviously aware of it," a police source said. "She will either turn herself in or we'll go out and get her like anybody else."

The driver reported the incident to police, who were canvassing the area.

No, no, no, I'm sorry I cant give her a pass no matter how fine she looks.

She has been running around with her thong twisted for awhile now, she needs to do time, and after doing time she needs to be out of the country and banned.

The Brits love doing that to American entertainers anyway, turn about is fair play.

Good News Tuesday: Wyclef Jean & Timberland Haiti Reforestation

Growing up in New York there was some these that was just mandatory if you were a true black man.

You had to know how to play ball.

You had to have a ball cap.

You had to be arrogant as hell.

You have to have a PhD in smack talking.

But most of all you had to have at least one pair of Timbs.

And if it was just one pair it had to be the standard honey wheat.

It was part of the New York uniform, anything else was looked down upon, that included those high end brands like the Polo boots.

Or the ones that targeted the urban market like Lugz.

They had to be Timbs, didn't matter that the company didn't want black men wearing their boots for what ever reason.

That just gave us the green light to steal their shit, but get it we would.

But that was back in the day, today it is rare to see Timbs on the streets, I have no idea why, I stopped buying them awhile ago for no specific reason so I am just now hearing about the decline in quality and it not being stylish any more.

But after reading this I am hoping for a come back.

From Haitian Internet:

The Timberland company and Haitian Hip Hop Singer Wyclef Jean are teaming up for a new collection of Timberland boots called "Timberland Earthkeepers Yele Haiti boots."

That's not all, The Timberland Earthkeeper line of will also include closing designed by children in Haiti. I watch a video of wake of himself promoting the new timberland yearly Haiti earth keeper line

Timberland Earthkeepers Yele Haiti boots We'll be available for men and women and kids.

For every pair of these boots sold, Timberland will donate $2 to the Yele Haiti foundation to support reforestation in Haiti.

The Timberland Earthkeepers Yele Haiti boots will be Available in the United States in November 2010 and globally by February 2010.

Now the cynic in me is saying this is the move of a company trying to slide it's way back into a market they took for granted a long time ago.

But this is a case were ends do justify the means, Haiti has a serious deforestaion problem that has contributed to flooding during hurricane season.

So this time I put away my side eye and give props to the Timberland and wyclef for giving a fuck.

Stunna of the Month: Salma Hayek

I wasnt sure who I was going to put on for this month, I felt greatly uninspired by many of the women currently working out there, and hell after Michelle Obama everyone else I was thinking seemed pale in comparison.

The women I have put were not just eye candy they either were game changers in their field or my life, what I am trying to avoid is this turning into an eye candy piece, anyone can do that.

So I was going to ask readers who they would like to see when I cam across this vid that I used for a previous post.

I am sorry but that right there warmed my heart.

That is giving of your self that I just wasnt expecting at all, caught me completely by surprised.

Maybe the cynic in me is at the point that I just dont expect nice things from people with out an agenda.

But not this time I have no answers for a woman that pulls her breast out and feeds a starving child with her milk.

Only thing I can say is bravo.

I cant think of any woman who I know who would do something like that.

I cant look at any celebrity and say they would do the same.

Naw...this lady is bucking for Mother Teresa teritority right there.

Some old Sainthood, and she has my vote.

So I am going to put Salma on for this one.

From Wiki.
Salma Valgarma Hayek Jiménez (born September 2, 1966) is a Mexican and American actress, director, and television and film producer. Hayek has appeared in more than 30 films and performed as an actress outside of Hollywood in Mexico and Spain. Hayek's charitable work includes increasing awareness on violence against women and discrimination against immigrants.[1]

Hayek is the first Mexican national to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. She is one of the most prominent Mexican figures in Hollywood since the legendary Dolores del Rio. She is also, after Fernanda Montenegro, the second of three Latin American actresses to achieve a Best Actress Oscar nomination.

It doesnt her that she is fine as hell either, that made my decision pretty damn easy too.

So Stunna of the month for Feburary is Salma Hayek.

Good News Tuesday: Salma Hayek Really Cares.

I mean really, really, really, really cares.

Please watch All Of It.

This is the type of corporate responsibility that I like to see all though you can say well they are just making sure they have babies to sell pampers to, (Damn why wont the cynic in me just die!!).

50 million shots ain't no joke, that's saving an entire generation.

This moved me I felt for this one for real.

On to another note.

Now I could joke all day about Salma Hayek breast feeding little African babies and all but this time I am giving her a pass.

Now of course if this becomes a Hollywood trend like those pocketbook dogs and adopting colored babies, than all bets are off.

OK maybe just one.........thank God it was Salma Hayek cause if it was any other Hollywood celebrity that baby would have gotten a tummy full of silicone.

OK I'm done.

After two-year investigation, Senate names names.

After a two-year investigation, the Senate names names -- Bush, Tenet, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, Gonzales, Addington, Rice.

"The fact is that senior officials in the United States government solicited information on how to use aggressive (interrogation) techniques, redefined the law to create the appearance of their legality, and authorized their use against detainees." That is one of the raw conclusions of a two-year Senate investigation into torture.

On Thursday, as the incoming Obama administration is mulling whether or not it even should investigate torture under the Bush administration, the Senate Armed Services Committee released the executive summary of its own investigation of the treatment of U.S. detainees. (The full report is still being declassified.)

I been said they all needed to be hanging from a rope and if they were allowed to walk out of office with out so much as an explanation for what went on than it would be and injustice world wide.

This is what happens when you let right wing nuts have control of the wheel of the car.

The only name missing was Powell who apparently jumped ship before the heat got turned up, (damn if he didn't know there was a fire though).

Now what of the chances one of them see the inside of a jail cell let alone a court room?

Slim to none, but let the truth be Known.

Man Attacks President Bush With Shoes.

LMAO!!!

That dude was .38 HOT!

Really what do you expect huh?

He turned the country into a an over size parking lot with this stupid war.

Somebody had to be pissed about it.

Hell I wanted to throw a bag of dog ish at the jerk myself on many occasion.

If this doesn't sum up how the people around the world feel about this administration I don't know what does.

......with his SHOES!!!

I hope they don't ship him to Guantanamo Bay now.

I am sorry I cant condone this but I do respect this dudes heart, Bush had that coming.

You play war games in somebodies home and got the nerve to show your face around there after you wreck the joint?

N#@$% you lucky you didn't get shot, in fact how the hell didn't you get shot?!

I'll say one thing he ducked that shoe like a true champ and had a little smile on his face too.

But if you spent the last 8 years ducking people who have been trying to knock your head off you should be good.

If I was Bush I would be running out of the White House telling the Obama's, "forget the Blair House come on in to the White House I'll send for my stuff later see ya sucker!!".

You hear say I wasnt scared?

I call bullish!

I can pin point the exact moment he ish his pants at :08.

When some one says they are not scared when no one is asking, than you know they were scared.

Unreal, I cant stop playing this joint.

Update!!!!

I just got the translation for what the man said when throwing the shoes.

He said "Here are your weapons of mass destruction you son of a motherless pig!!!!"

Dont Drink The Kool Aid 8: Africom

Now far be it from me to tell some one in need to turn down a helping hand when given to them, but I would always say be careful whose hand your taking.

Which brings me to the brother and sisters in Africa, who are being courted so sweetly by my own government to allow the U.S.A. have a say in African affairs.

Now you Africans are grown and have had enough experience dealing with outsiders so there is nothing I cant tell you.

Other than to give you a piece advice when interviewing "advisers" you should always do a background check for safety purpose, I have taken the liberty of doing a very, very, very, very small one my own country.

Very easy to read, it goes as follows:

And those were all American citizens involved here.

But if you think I am being bias you may ask former President of Haiti.

Jean-Bertrand Aristide

You can actually find him on your continent I am sure he has no problem being a character witness for the U.S.A.

Especially after this.

http://www.boston.com/news/world/articles/2004/03/01/aristide_backers_blame_us_for_ouster/

Now again I know you fellas know better, but I feel I should say something for those who have difficulty seeing the obvious.

But hey it's you land, go ahead and let them set up shop, that way I can start a betting pool on how long it takes for the the African sun to set first good old boy rebel flag fly off some yahoo's truck.

I'll be also taking bets on nooses, profiling, and accidental shootings.

Good Day.

Arranged Marriage.

I have a homeboy of mine from Gambia, Africa we were talking about a situation of his that he had decided to go ahead and commit to.

See his parents had picked out a wife for him, when he was 7, from this other family that had just had a new born daughter.

The young lady is now 19 and it is now time to get hitched.

His folks have been calling him from Africa nonstop expecting a date of his arrival back home for the marriage.

My man is sweating bullets and I be lying if I did not say that I was getting a good laugh out of this.

The young lady, who by the looks of her picture is a stone cold fox, is getting her education right now but is eagerly waiting for her husband to be to come home and make an honest woman out of her.

She and my man will call him Slim; have been keeping up with each other on the phone so they are not complete strangers.

But none the less with the exception of the pictures they have never seen each other.

Now Slim just got out of a marriage to an American woman who he neglected to tell his parents about, the relationship was a bad one so was hesitant about to get married again, African or no African.

His mother has different ideas about the matter, since he did not bother to say no to the plans all through his years growing up it is too late to say no now.

So he is going to bite the bullet and get hitched “in the near future”.

I got to admit Slim’s culture has got me thinking, his father, has 5 wives and over 19 kids with them, Slim being one of the younger ones, he says he does not know if he will take on another wife since you have to be pretty well off to afford more than one, (amen), and that’s why he is in America to make his fortune.

Could I go along with an arrange marriage? The practice is not uncommon in Haiti were my folks are from and I know my grandmother would be the one brokering the deal, so I would feel safe, but could I do it?

The rumor is that those couples who are in arranged marriages stay married and happily at that.

Now this is opposite to our pick em and leave em ways that we have over here.

So who ever she was, I would be stuck for life.

The thing is in most cases you are not really strangers you would know about each other and be introduced to each other under supervision, hell you may even be attending the same school.

Besides considering how couples over here know each other for years and still get divorced how much stock can you put into knowing some one?

I mean there are little thing that need to be worked out like virginity, education who is living where and so on and so forth, but the parents doing the arranging would be dealing with that.

Truth is I do not know what I would do but I have a sneaky suspicion that I would go along with it.

What I am positive about is that they would be only one, I see no purpose to bringing the gravedigger and the coffin maker along to your own execution.

The Old Fox

Wow, I thought this old fox would out last me.

Fidel Castro the greatest American antagonist has stepped down from power, and I for one will miss him.

It is said it part of a series of steps to usher in a peaceful transition of power in Cuba, and the marking of the old fox's impending demise.

Say what you will about the man he stuck to his guns against an unfair embargo and pressure from the U.S.A.

But thats not why I liked him I liked him because he gave what he had to the under privilage nations of the world.

Doctors to poor people who needed it in places like Haiti, soldiers in Angola, educators in latin America, and real sanctions against apartied South Africa.

He is on my hero list.

Got to give it up to them

Got to give it up to the Europeans even there crimes are stylish.

From the News.

Swedish gangs are stealing valuables from long distance bus passengers by hiding dwarves inside luggage. Police say criminal gangs are packing tiny people into suite cases and instructing them to emerge inside the bus luggage compartment were the dwarves rifle through other bags and than zip themselves back into their own suitcases. Before arriving at their destination and being being picked up by an accomplice.

Olympics

If you do not know by now there is a little noise going on about Beijing hosting the Olympics being that they are such a large investor in Sudan which is practicing genocide in Darfur.

Steven Spielberg has decided not to become the artistic advisor of the event in protest of Darfur.

There is now a Team Darfur that of now has 50 athletes that have although not boycott but will use the event to high light the issue of Darfur.

As usual the corporate sponsors have decided to keep on spending, GM, McDonald’s, Coco-Cola and Eastman Kodak have decided that they can deal with the body count and keep on selling.

Bet if the body piles were made of dogs they would pull out with the quickness.

Here is my thing, I really do not expect much out of China because of their human rights violations, which makes me wonder how they won their Olympic bid in the first place.

This is also the same country that has one of their state sponsored sculpters building the Martin Luther King monument to go to Washington.

China?

MLK?

No one thinks these things through?

How serious are we supposed to take that?

Any way I’ll probably only watch a portion of the Olympics anyway, the event has lost its luster a long time ago, besides my favorite events the Track and Field portion, is so juiced it’s not funny.

You could probably launch a rocket into space from the urine samples they’ll get from those runners.

What I want to see: The Price for sugar

This documentary profiles the courageous Father Christopher Hartley, a Spanish priest who travels to the Dominican Republic to stop a modern-day slavery operation. Thousands of Haitian men are forced to work in inhumane conditions to harvest sugar cane for obscenely rich sugar barons. Standing up in the face of multiple death threats, Father Hartley bravely teaches these dispossessed workers to stand up for themselves and improve their lives.

The more you think things change the more they stay the same.

Do Not Drink The Kool Aid 4 : Rape and Politics.

From the Atlanta Journal Constitution:

King Pardons Gang Rape Victim

Tuesday, Dec 18

In Saudia Arabia a 19 year old gang rape victim known as "Girl of Qutif" after her home town, was pardoned from her six month prison sentence and 200 lashes for being alone with a man who was not a related to her, by the Saudi King. The woman who met the man to retrieve a picture of her self because she had recently married, was pulled out of the car by seven men and raped.

The sentence of the men ranged from 10 months to 5 years, which was raised to 2 to 9 years after an appeal.

(But here is were it gets interesting.)

International outrage over the sentence prompted unusually strong words from President Bush, who said if the same thing had happened to one of his daughters he would be "angry" at the government that didnt protect the victim. The White House called the sentence "outrageous". (outraged huh?)

National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said the king "made the right decision" by pardoning the woman.

"Certainly we are pleased that the action occured" said State Dept. Deputy Tom Casey. "I think every was rather astonished by the initial verdict, and I hope this puts this case to rest"

Saudi Officials have been wary of hurting there image in the eyes of the United States. (Is that some type of joke?)

Now throw in some race and add that up with this from the same paper the next day:

Wednesday DEC 19

Prosecutors closed their investigation of the disappearance of American Teenager Natalee Holloway. This after (get this now ):

"Police, Soldiers, and hundreds of volunteers combed the hillsides and beaches of this 75 square foot island. Investigators partially drained a pond. Divers with searched the sea bed off shore. Dutch F-16 fighters with search equipment conducted overflights. Dogs sniffed for the body. Investigator interviewed hundreds of potential witnesses and re-arrested several suspects. At times it seemed that Aruba it self was on trial as some U.S. politicians and journalists assailed its ability to investigate the case". (All that for one little white woman).

Also the same day same paper:

Gang Rape Victim Case in Limbo.

Wednesday Dec 19

A Texas woman who says she was drugged and gang raped by Halliburton-KBR co-workers in Iraq was to testify Wednesday before the House Judiciary Committee about safety of Americans working over seas for U.S. contractors. The Victim, Jamie Leigh Jones, claims that after the attack the company kept her under guard inside a shipping container and warned her she would lose her job if she reported the rape.

Rep. Hank Williams a Ga, Dekalb county Democrat and member of the committee is demanding answers on behalf of Jamie Leigh Jones . Since military as well as the Justice dept have no jurisdiction to purse criminal charges against private contractors in Iraq the only course of action of the victim is to file civil law suit against the company. (So the rapist walk?)

Now add those up with:

Dunbar Village.

Megan Williams.

PFC. Johnson.

And what do you get?

Mean while back on Planet Earth.

Did not hear squat from the White House on these older cases.

I wonder why is that?

Maybe if Megan Williams, Pfc. Johnson, The lady of Dunbar, and now Jones had the brains to hold a can of oil while being raped they too could get the attention of the White House like the "Girl of Qutif".

Or how about being white in a foreign country? (Jones could be white)

Or maybe having influential parents?

Oh wait did I take it to far?

My bad.

You know me I tend to think people see what I see and when they do not I can get emotional.

I really should care less, just let the band keep playing.

Reminder: Do Not Drink The Kool Aid.
