Now it's really on!!
Ladies and Gentleman LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE!!!!

It is on like popcorn now.
Yes we should enjoy Obama's victory and all of it's implications but this is was just the semi finals.
McCain and the Right have been patiently waiting, and planning all the while, and if you thought Hillary played hard ball than every one has a short memory.
The prize fight is on.
And who knows if people can let bygones be bygones than maybe I can get the final ticket i was looking for in the first place.

Im just saying.

Bady I am sorry but it is over between us.

I have refrain from blogging about politics for several reasons one every one else was doing a great job and basically saying what I would.
Two I always felt that this primary was for Obama to lose and my man was running the show like MJ in the 4th quarter he couldn't miss.
And third I really had nothing against Hillary, I liked her, not just because she is Bill's wife but because some of her views were in line with my own.
That goes back when she was the 1st lady and she tried to get health care reform on the table.
If Obama wasn't running she had my vote on lock.
But as the race grew near and end the desperation her camp has shown has by not throwing in the towel, claiming sexism, the vague racial baiting that goes on, all of it has left me trying to turn a blind eye to a woman that I like to call the original Pit bull in a Skirt.
But this BS right here of waiting around for some one to put a bullet in Obama?
That's to much for me, the pit bull has officially bit the hand that has fed her, it's time to be put down old yella style.
My quiet dream of an Obama Clinton ticket to give the Republicans a living hell for 16 years are dashed.
Why couldn't you be like your husband slick Willie?
He would of knew better than that, where was your team to pull you to the side and say "hey chill this is what you need to do"?
No baby you have let ambition take control of you and now your true colors are showing.
I am sorry baby but it's over now, you are not the woman I thought you would be.

Boycotting the Olympics.
Snuck away from the books to just say this.
Boycotting the Olympics thats what I will be doing.
I feel for the atheletes that work so hard to get to this moment but I feel even more for the people of Tibet and Dafur, Sudan. Some say the olympics is about peace, love unity and respect for your fellow man, but you show me where do you see that in Tibet or Sudan. At some point people should stand up and take a stance for the well being of their fellow man as opposed to looking out for their own self centered needs.
I am not watching it.

The Old Fox

Wow, I thought this old fox would out last me.
Fidel Castro the greatest American antagonist has stepped down from power, and I for one will miss him.
It is said it part of a series of steps to usher in a peaceful transition of power in Cuba, and the marking of the old fox's impending demise.
Say what you will about the man he stuck to his guns against an unfair embargo and pressure from the U.S.A.
But thats not why I liked him I liked him because he gave what he had to the under privilage nations of the world.
Doctors to poor people who needed it in places like Haiti, soldiers in Angola, educators in latin America, and real sanctions against apartied South Africa.
He is on my hero list.

Olympics
If you do not know by now there is a little noise going on about Beijing hosting the Olympics being that they are such a large investor in Sudan which is practicing genocide in Darfur.
Steven Spielberg has decided not to become the artistic advisor of the event in protest of Darfur.
There is now a Team Darfur that of now has 50 athletes that have although not boycott but will use the event to high light the issue of Darfur.
As usual the corporate sponsors have decided to keep on spending, GM, McDonald’s, Coco-Cola and Eastman Kodak have decided that they can deal with the body count and keep on selling.
Bet if the body piles were made of dogs they would pull out with the quickness.
Here is my thing, I really do not expect much out of China because of their human rights violations, which makes me wonder how they won their Olympic bid in the first place.
This is also the same country that has one of their state sponsored sculpters building the Martin Luther King monument to go to Washington.
China?
MLK?
No one thinks these things through?
How serious are we supposed to take that?
Any way I’ll probably only watch a portion of the Olympics anyway, the event has lost its luster a long time ago, besides my favorite events the Track and Field portion, is so juiced it’s not funny.
You could probably launch a rocket into space from the urine samples they’ll get from those runners.

Question for the day: What is a sell out?
A friend of mine was doing some free lance work filming a book signing at Margret Mitchell’s house, that’s the lady who wrote Gone With The Wind.
The author for that night was a gentleman who wrote a book called Sell Out, my homeboy, who I guess, became engrossed in the conversation going on about the book that he called me to talk about his view of what a “sell out” is.
Now I know he called me because 9 out of 10 times I would be seeing things different from him and he was looking for a debate so I gave him one. We started off arguing about what people thought were examples of sellouts, Hammer, Barack Obama, T.I., Clarence Thomas, Condoleezza Rice, BET, I said no, no, maybe, no hell yeah, and no doubt, respectively.
We went on and on before realizing we were having a debate about what the definition of a sellout was causing us to look at things differently.
When I was a kid a sellout was anyone who white people liked or surrounded themselves with white people.
That was pretty much your standard definition back then.
Now at the time the poster boy for a kid like me of selling out was MC Hammer the rapper who made millions rapping and dancing to what at the time I thought was strictly white people.

Now that I am older and wiser I see things differently.
Was Hammer, whose first album was loved by blacks, who laid down a blue print of how a rapper should get paid with endorsements and record deal, who hired black kids from his community and surrounded himself with black employees, married black, and never promoted a poisonous ideals to the listeners at his peak, really a sellout?
Just because whites brought his music?
Dancing was very much a part of Hip-Hop back than as it is today, there were only a handful of really good MCs at the time, and what black person did not want to make money?
So the only reason Hammer was disliked was because whites liked him.
Think about that when you look at one his rivals and “respected” members of his Hip-Hop class who called him out for being a sellout, 3rd Base.

Now here you have two white dudes with black hair cuts, black medallions, performing what was pretty much an exclusively black art form, chasing black women, loved by blacks, calling a black man a sellout for being liked by whites.
That sounds stupid as hell now that I am older. If anyone was a sellout it was 3rd Base.
What about Barak Obama?

He is intelligent, articulate, well heeled, light skinned and safe looking.
The old school red flags of a sellout.
And to be honest whites love this guy like cooked food.
Hell even the Republicans are having trouble finding buttons to push especially with the alternative being Clinton.
But he is no sellout, he would have to turn on his beliefs for the Oval office and his beliefs are what he is selling, that whole “Change” thing.
He has stood up for his decision making and has not flipped flop for the sake of getting more white or black votes at the expense of the other despite some blacks wanting him to hold up a black fist before they will vote for him and some whites who want him to act like he is completely devoid of all color to go along with his color blindness .
If you look at his domestic policy beliefs, (at least what he is saying now), concerning education, drug laws, and health care he has managed to address black issues while not addressing “black” issues, just plain old issues.
Pretty stand up to me.
T.I.? I consider him half and half.

I don’t think his drug use or getting busted with guns, that would probably be used to kill another black person as selling out, criminal, but not selling out.
We knew he was a thug when he dropped his first 16 bars on a record.
So how is he a sellout?
He is doing exactly what he says he would do on his albums, that sounds pretty real to me.
The question for me are those albums themselves, I got a problem with the gangster/hardcore/drug/trap music that these rappers come out with.
Not because of the subject but because the idiots have now come out with back to back albums gangster/hardcore/drug/trap music.
How many albums can you go on with that?
A lot of these dudes are pushing 40 still talking that mess, an entire albums worth of it.
That’s selling out to me, you found a formulae and you are going to ride it into the grave.
Mean while every kid out there who does not know better are taking this for gospel.
Being a stripper and a drug dealer are now career options.
But still I only call them sellouts half heartedly, the bigger sellouts are the people who buy their music to me.

Clarence Thomas?
Hell no!
The man is determined to die on his cross and I have no problem putting a nail through his ass but he is no sellout.
Let’s look at what he is saying, he hates welfare, hates affirmative action, wants to be judge for being himself and to stand up on his own two feet.
Now despite the fact that it was those things that got him to where he is, he has worked actively to scale back those very same things.
And since I no longer prescribe to the monolithic view of black thought, I do not see him betraying us.
Not to me.
He would be selling out if he became the poster boy for affirmative action.
Nope the old dog stuck to his guns damn it all.

Condoleezza Rice without a doubt in my mind yet with absolutely no proof to back it up.
Here is why, I know the war in Iraq is a scam I see the Bush administration scaling back are rights, I see the big oil grab going on around the world, the two face foreign policy that make allies out of international thugs but enemies out of the ones that do not fall in line.
If I can see that here from my little section of the world than how does she who is in the middle of the mess not see it?
In fact how does she have the gall to endorse it?
The only reason I can think of is that she was hell bent on being the first black woman as Secretary Of State pr either she really is sleeping with the President.
She isn’t no war hawking patriot like Rumsfeld, not a money grubber like good old shoot em up Vice president Dick, she was the one that was supposed to have some sense in that administration.
I know she does not buy into the B.S. which is what irks me.
That is why she is a sellout, she know the truth but sells a dream.

BET, that wonderful network that has brought us BET Uncut, Read a Book, College Hill, Hell Date, and every lousy rapper who can reach the mic.
You know the truth is I believe everything has it’s place.
Porn has it's place, violence has it's place just not necessarily together and not sold in the kids section.
Thats the problem with BET it sells very adult images to kids than turns around and shows church programing on sunday.
We get enough of the stereotypes from othwer networks so you would figure we would catch a break from the one network that targets blacks.
And since Viacom owns BET for the LAST TIME BET IS NOT A BLACK NETWORK!
It just has a bunch of niggas working there.
So to sum up a sellout to me is a combination of some one who trades in his beliefs, and values, and the truth for success, than turns around and tries to sell you a lie that he does not believe in all the while watching that lie do damage.
Damn that was kinda of long.

So much for wondering if Obama can get black voters in SC.

Well no more wondering if Obama can get the black vote, as I said before he has that on lock.
78% of black voters who made up 50% of all voters in South Carolina rolled with Obama.
Now I always take what the media says with a grain of salt and a big bottle of Castor oil, that's just the cynic in me, (Or the fact that I am a black man in the United States which makes me genetically unable to buy into B.S. when I see it).
All the hoopla about Obama getting the black vote in particular the young black vote is sounding like the hot air it is.
This is the same state that the country swore up and down that black women were ready to jump ship on his butt.
Guess no one felt like swimming.
Now this is far from over I am not buying into the idea that Bill may have effected the out come with his rabble rousing, I believe these results were on coming out this way regardless if the ex president opened his mouth or not.
What I do know is that slick Willie will not take this on his back.

News from Planet “Duh Really?”: The circus has not left town yet.

News from Planet “Duh Really?”
Jena, La
About 50 white separatists protested in Jena the Martin Luther King Holiday and the ruling on the Jena six.
Police separated participants in the “pro-majority” rally organized by the Nationalist Movement from a racially mixed group of a about 100 counter-demonstrators outside the LaSalle Parish Court house.
Among the counter-demonstrators were members of the new Black Panther Party.
Police from several organizations were at hand to keep the peace.
Snipers staked the roofs of the buildings across the street from the court house, as a few locals black and white watched from the sidelines.
Mean while back on planet Earth:
You know I would feel sorry for these hicks, with all the unwanted attention they get, but the reality is if they did the right thing in the first place and not try to railroad a bunch of knuckle heads, (and let’s be honest that’s exactly what the Jena Six were a group of knuckleheads), they wouldn’t have to have their fish bowl existence disturbed by the people living in the new millennium.
I would say they will learn a lesson from this but from my understanding the DA who started the mess still has a job.
On a brighter note, small hick towns being small hick towns do not get much in the form of worldly education and entertainment.
I am sure these past couple of years will give them plenty to talk about around the camp fire.
What the Bozaks!?!?
From the News.
Musa Hilal, the suspected head of the janjaweed militias, (that’s that happy go lucky bunch of devils who go around murdering, raping and committing other atrocities in Darfur), has been named an advisor to Sudan’s Ministry of Federal Affairs which manages the governments relations with outside provinces.
Now if this is not a case of putting the wolf to guard the hen house from the fox I do not know what is.
You know some nations need a good tragedy, I am not talking Katrina style, I am talking old school Biblical shit.
Fire and brimstone, locusts, famine, taking of the first born, I mean letting the Four Horse Men loose on that ass.
Mean while the world just wags its figure and say bad boy.
You know there is no way I would be Mike the Almighty, I would stay flooding this miserable little rock.

Quick Quip and Extra.

If Hilliary were to be come president Bill would become the Ladies man?
Looks like Hillary pulled a Jordan in New Hampshire, I kinda expected this, they say the trend in elections has been that New Hampshire always goes against the grain of the candidate to come out on top which is what Obama did in Iowa.
Now there are a lot of people out there that see a Clinton win as a loss for blacks, not me.
This is a stacked deck and I am holding both jokers and all the spades.
In other words it's win, win for me.
The Clintons are as crooked as a two dollar bill, but that is exactly the type of attitude you need in this political game.
I do not mind a crooked politician as long as he is in my back pocket.
Which is what the Clintons have proven over the years to their black supporters.
I would like Obama to win but I am not crying if he does not.
I called McCain's win in New Hampshire.
Looks like this one is going to be a good one.

Obama and ....Huckabee?
Huckabee, Obama have huge night in Iowa
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/03/iowa.caucuses/index.html
I figured Obama would get the under 30 and pull a Jordan in Iowa but with all the hype about woman not voting for him he seemed to have cleaned up shop or was that just South Carolina?
Huckabee caught me off guard I just new McCain was was going to walk away with it.
I think I am going to lose some money on these primaries.

Speaking of Kool Aid.

Why has not some one made a real GOOD Jim Jones movie?
This is the type of stuff Hollywood needs to get on.
It has all the elements that gets the juices flowing.
Race, class, poverty, religion, love, exotic locals, politics.
This is an Academy Award Winner!

Here is the story:
James Warren "Jim" Jones (May 13, 1931 – November 18, 1978) was the American founder of the Peoples Temple, which became synonymous with group suicide after the November 18, 1978 mass murder-suicide by poison in their isolated agricultural intentional community called Jonestown, located in Guyana. Over nine hundred people died from cyanide poisoning or gunshot wounds in the aftermath of Jones ordering his men to kill visiting Congressman Leo Ryan and numerous members of his entourage.

My Uppity Negro Award.
Can you recognize an Uppity negro?
It's usually the one that pisses people off with there arrogance and really does not care.
He or she is the one that breaks the rules and the norms and look at you like you are stupid for pointing that out.
People cant stand them yet cant leave them alone.
Everything that comes out of their mouths is a soundbite.
They take it and give it with a smile.
They do not mind a scrap, hell they seem to thrive on it.
They are polarizing.
They incite hate, envy, admiration, respect all at the same time.
Critics love them, they give them something to talk about.
Rivals want their heads.
They have armies of haters and supporters.
But what really gets the hater's goats is the fact they act like they do not care
what you think, damn that unless you jump in front of them they wouldn't know the
critics even existed.
That's what really drives people nutty,
There are almost no avenues to attack because they are good at what they do.
You have to wait for them to slip up and when they do hot damn they dominate the
headlines.
I am not going to lie I got a soft spot for these characters, I am big on defiance.
And defiance is a key trait in these types.
I tend to put these nuts on my hero list.
And this past year we had a worthy list of characters to make waves in fact you can say there presence was a direct contributor to the racial tension that came out this past year.
Brother Omi of http://selfra.blogspot.com/ pointed out 50 incidents of nooses being put up this year.
50!
You know your doing you job as an uppity negro when in this day and age people are
wishing for a lynching.
So this is my nominees an winner of the Uppity Negro Award.
6- Marion Jones

Why:
American's olympic darling.
With that crooked little smile the talented sprinter made millions while racking up medals.
This one here is a true merc.
She denied hard that she was on steroids, I mean hard core denial!
Threatened law suits and the whole nine.
Acted like her boyfriend/baby daddy did not exist when he got busted.
Played the role to the T till she got busted by the Feds.
Why she did not win:
I am sorry but Uppity Negroes go out with their guns blazing if they go out at all.
At the least a gruding "My Bad" will do.
You do not get on camera and cry in front of the world basically begging for
forgiveness after putting on a show like that!
Hell NO!
When she did that I was like hell no you lost all cool points with me.
There is no crying.
5- Mike Vick

Why:
What can I say about this dude?
Dog fighting from a million dollar athelete that had the planet eating out of his
hands.
Middle fingers, secret weed bottles, Ron Mexico.
Supreme talent.
Classic example of taking the cat out of the jungle but not taking the jungle out of the cat.
This man was straight hood.
Why he did not win:
Stupidity.
What the hell are you running a criminal enterpise if your making millions of
dollars playing football?
Over denial.
Dude you got caught, your "boys" sold you out faster than a hooker on pay day.
And you steady lying and smoking weed.
That was just dumb and it has nothing to do with where you were raised.
4- Naomi Campbell

Why:
Seriously you have to ask why this negress made the list?
This beauty/super model/ business woman. is a hand full.
The woman pulls a Roger Clemons and beans her maid in the head with a cell phone
and gets 5 days community service for assault and battery and than turns the final
day into a fashion show.
Blames the incident on "her temper on lingering resentment toward her father for
abandoning her as a child".
That is a hell of a pair on her.
Why she did not win:
She is a light weight when compared to the others.
Besides she got busted.
3- Cynthia Mickinney

Why:
This one here is one of my favorites.
She is on here mostly for her body of work: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cynthia_McKinney
After all that she is running for president: http://ca.runcynthiarun.com/endorsers.html
And I am of half of mind to vote for her if she gets on the ballot.
I voted for her every time she ran in Gerogia.
She spoke the truth while everyone else were caught up in kissing the Bush
adminstrations butt.
The Republicans in Dekalb county ,her district, actually joined the Democratic party
just to vote against her for the democratic ticket!
Thus leading to that puppet Dennise Majette's win.
YOU KNOW YOU PISS PEOPLE OFF IF THEY ARE SWITHCHING PARTIES TO GET YOU!
Hell I was upset when she left for California, but how can I stay mad at her.
She is my lady.
Why she did not win:
Well other than running for President she has been real quite, thats all.
2- Barry Bonds

Why:
Another favorite, few are able to draw lines with out trying like he does.
The poster boy for arrogance, defiance, and the steriod era.
The press has a vendetta against him just because he doesnt give a rats ass what
they think.
He is the total package of an Uppity Negro Athelete.
I bet you we wont see him crying on camera.
Why he did not win:
This one was a tough one, the only flaw is the verdict is still out on if he will do
time or not.
The WINNER:
Rev. Al Sharpton

Why:
Damn what people say I like Al.
Don Imus, Jena Six, the Knicks, if there is a camera and a mic and a issue he is
there telling people what "we" think.
Good God the man is trying to block Chicago from getting the Olympics because their
cops are crooked.
And I am with him on that.
No one inspires hate like he does from both black and white, he is a polarizing
machine.
But guess what?
You Will Miss Him when he is gone.
When know one else is willing to get up and say something and force people to listen.
Know one puts on a show like he does.
Act like you do not know if you want to, but he is the reason Imus lost his gig.
I'll take him in in the trenches any day of the week.
He is the hands down winner.
Honarable mention to: Jemele Hill, 50 cents, Genarlow Wilson, and T.I.

News From Planet "Duh Really?!": Rape and Politics.
From the Atlanta Journal Constitution:
King Pardons Gang Rape Victim
Tuesday, Dec 18
In Saudia Arabia a 19 year old gang rape victim known as "Girl of Qutif" after her home town, was pardoned from her six month prison sentence and 200 lashes for being alone with a man who was not a related to her, by the Saudi King. The woman who met the man to retrieve a picture of her self because she had recently married, was pulled out of the car by seven men and raped.
The sentence of the men ranged from 10 months to 5 years, which was raised to 2 to 9 years after an appeal.
(But here is were it gets interesting.)
International outrage over the sentence prompted unusually strong words from President Bush, who said if the same thing had happened to one of his daughters he would be "angry" at the government that didnt protect the victim. The White House called the sentence "outrageous". (outraged huh?)
National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said the king "made the right decision" by pardoning the woman.
"Certainly we are pleased that the action occured" said State Dept. Deputy Tom Casey. "I think every was rather astonished by the initial verdict, and I hope this puts this case to rest"
Saudi Officials have been wary of hurting there image in the eyes of the United States. (Is that some type of joke?)
Now throw in some race and add that up with this from the same paper the next day:
Wednesday DEC 19
Prosecutors closed their investigation of the disappearance of American Teenager Natalee Holloway. This after (get this now ):
"Police, Soldiers, and hundreds of volunteers combed the hillsides and beaches of this 75 square foot island. Investigators partially drained a pond. Divers with searched the sea bed off shore. Dutch F-16 fighters with search equipment conducted overflights. Dogs sniffed for the body. Investigator interviewed hundreds of potential witnesses and re-arrested several suspects. At times it seemed that Aruba it self was on trial as some U.S. politicians and journalists assailed its ability to investigate the case". (All that for one little white woman).
Also the same day same paper:
Gang Rape Victim Case in Limbo.
Wednesday Dec 19
A Texas woman who says she was drugged and gang raped by Halliburton-KBR co-workers in Iraq was to testify Wednesday before the House Judiciary Committee about safety of Americans working over seas for U.S. contractors. The Victim, Jamie Leigh Jones, claims that after the attack the company kept her under guard inside a shipping container and warned her she would lose her job if she reported the rape.
Rep. Hank Williams a Ga, Dekalb county Democrat and member of the committee is demanding answers on behalf of Jamie Leigh Jones . Since military as well as the Justice dept have no jurisdiction to purse criminal charges against private contractors in Iraq the only course of action of the victim is to file civil law suit against the company. (So the rapist walk?)
Now add those up with:
Dunbar Village.
Megan Williams.
PFC. Johnson.
And what do you get?
Mean while back on Planet Earth.
Did not hear squat from the White House on these older cases.
I wonder why is that?
Maybe if Megan Williams, Pfc. Johnson, The lady of Dunbar, and now Jones had the brains to hold a can of oil while being raped they too could get the attention of the White House like the "Girl of Qutif".
Or how about being white in a foreign country? (Jones could be white)
Or maybe having influential parents?
Oh wait did I take it to far?
My bad.
You know me I tend to think people see what I see and when they do not I can get emotional.
I really should care less, just let the band keep playing.
Reminder: Do Not Drink The Kool Aid.

Kai Franklin
Rumor is that Kai Franklin daughter of Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin and the former wife Tremayne Graham a drug dealer has been convicted of money laundering (says she pleaded guilty)her ex's drug money.
I do not know if it is true at this time but I like to get a jump on things. Now I could care less about her conviction no way am I to believe she did not know what was going on. But I am concerned about the effect this will have on the mayor. I like Mayor Franklin, she has had her ups and downs but she got things moving and gave the city a face lift after the former Mayor Campbell screwed things up.
Hold up no rumor damn,
Here is the link:

News From Planet "Duh Really": AG Will not Rule Yet On Torture
From the AP: Attorney General Michael Mukasey refused Tuesday to be rushed into deciding whether he considers waterboarding a form of torture, saying simply he understands the "intense interest"in the issue now at the heart of an inquiry into video taped interrogations of terror suspects that were destroyed by the C.I.A.
In his first news conference, Mukasey relied on his nearly two decades as a federal judge to push back on questions about his thoughts on waterboarding, much as he had done with senators who asked before voting to confirm his nomination Nov 8.
Mukasey he has yet concluded a review of Justice Department memos to determine whether waterboarding amounts to torture, which would deem it illegal.
He needs to review Justice Department memos to decide if this
is torture?
Well hell, I can understand that.
I mean to me it looks like these men are just teaching this fellow here how to swim on land.
Faced covered.
With his hands tied.
While answering questions.
I mean if he answers the questions they'll let him up and he go knowing that he is a better swimmer because of this and if God decides to pull another Katrina and let it rain 40 days and 40 nights he will be well prepared.
What the hell is every body upset about?
This is democracy at it's best, we are spreading the gospel of freedom and love by teaching the rest of the world how to swim.
On land.
With there hands tied.
Faced covered.
While answering questions.
And of course the possibility of catching a bullet to the head if you answer to many wrong.
I understand the Attorney Generals reluctance to rush to conclusions.
Mean while back on Planet Earth:
What the hell!?
Is this where my tax dollars go to?
Is this why I voted, so those Representatives can vote this Mukasey in so he can say some mess like that?
So they can turn some dude upside down and clean out his lungs with H2O and than look the world dead in the eyes with the straight face and say well technically this is not torture?
I feel safer already.
I mean there is the chance that some one may want to get pay back for this and I might be caught in the middle of the war ideologies but hell it's all about democracy, freedom and safety right.
Here is my word of advice don't drink the koolaid.
