Because I couldnt say it better my self: Dafur

Electronic Village has a nice piece on on whats needed to be done in Dafur, Sudan.

http://electronicvillage.blogspot.com/2008/04/creating-peace-to-keep-in-darfur.html

I already posted that I am not watching the Olympics because of China "look the other way because my back yard is dirty to policy". But what China is doing is no different than what other nations including the U.S.A has done when we pick and choose questionable nations to do buisness with. China is shoring up allies and resources with a hands off policy when it comes to a nations internal politics, the same can be said about the U.S. and Saudia Arabia or Pakistan. It is a culture in international policy as a whole, to look the other way as long as you get what you want. Change comes from the grass root level with citizens demanding change. Imagine what South Africa would be like if every nation was allowed by it's citizens to look the other way.

Every one needs to get an earful about this, the politicians in this country, Big buisness, and the idiots in the IOC who thought it was a good idea to give China an Olympic birth in the first place.

Year of the Golden Boy

They say you dont know what your missing till it's gone. Not this time I know exactly what I will be missing when Oscar De La Hoya, finally hangs up his glove after 2008.

I'll be missing a class act, a talented fighter, and a true champ.

Now I was never big on Oscar when he first came out, to many close calls, (Pernell Whitaker), and over hyped match ups, (An old Julio Ceaser Chavez), hell I thought the man was really a......

But no DHL the money man was not that, he fought them all just on his schedule, Sugar Shane, Bernard Hopkins, Vargas, Sweet Pea, Chavez, Pretty Boy Floyd, Tito Trinidad, Hector Camacho, Arturo Gatti, on and on, a whos who of boxing and broke open the bank while doing it.

He has moved on to icon status with people who never watched a boxing match knowing who he is. This Saturday starts the first of three fights before he calls it quits.

Now true his opponent Steve Forbes Saturday is highly overrated but game fighter fighting out of his weight class so I dont expect much of a threat.

But this is what you call a tune up fight before he takes on Floyd in a rematch. And Oscar has always done it his way. Despite the fact that boxing is full of talent under the heavy weight division DHL will still be missed. Thanks for the memories.

Man the world can be a cold blooded place.

A very well done ass whoopin is called for here.

What I am Rockin: The Roots (Feat. Wale & Chrisette Michele) - Rising Up

The roots are really in my dog house right now.

I love how they and acts like Outkast, Gnarls Barkely, Kanye West, Common and such are rebuilding Hip-Hop from the ground up, (F$#@ that I Still Love Her) but the roots have been far left with it after Things Fall Apart I feel like they stole money from me with the two albums that followed that one.

This is a nice way to come back up though.

O'Reilly Dropping Dime

I remember when I first saw the kid who obviously was reading from a card or something, I thought it was funny in a aww look at what the kids are doing sort of way, well the great crusader of American values has decided to use this in his never ending struggle asgainst the evils of Hip-Hop. I sleep better at night knowing that Bill O'reilly and the rest of the ant-Hip-Hop brigade on and off the net have my back.

Child abuse? Hell I want to see more of this!
Here is some more about it.

And this dude right here is about to blow a blood vessle.

For real as funny as this is and the as funny as hell the reaction this vid has caused the Secret Service I am sure has no sense of humor about this. A mental health hospital I used to work at had this dude who was constantly try to get the President on the phone, next thing we know the dude actually got through, with in the hour the place was crawling with the SS. My man was not stable so they did not bother with him. I hate to see the kid or who ever put him up to this. And no I doubt very much the parents had anything to do with this. Who ever it is duck mutha#$@!$.

Police Kill Man After a Queens Bachelor Party
By ROBERT D. McFADDEN
Correction Appended

Hours before he was to be married, a man leaving his bachelor party at a strip club in Queens that was under police surveillance was shot and killed early yesterday in a hail of police bullets, witnesses and the police said. Two of his friends were wounded, one critically, they said.

Many details of the shooting were not immediately clear, but relatives of the dead man, Sean Bell, 23, and community leaders, including the Rev. Al Sharpton, demanded an investigation into what some called an overreaction by officers that killed a man on his wedding day.

Witnesses told of chaos, screams and a barrage of gunfire near Club Kalua at 143-08 94th Avenue in Jamaica about 4:15 a.m. after Mr. Bell and his friends walked out and got into their car. Mr. Bell drove the car half a block, turned a corner and struck a black unmarked police minivan bearing several plainclothes officers.

Mr. Bell’s car then backed up onto a sidewalk, hit a storefront’s rolled-down protective gate and nearly struck an undercover officer before shooting forward and slamming into the police van again, the police said.

In response, five police officers fired at least 50 rounds at the men’s car, a silver Nissan Altima; the bullets ripped into other cars and slammed through an apartment window near the shooting scene on Liverpool Street near 94th Avenue.

Mr. Bell — who was to have been wed at 5 p.m. yesterday to Nicole Paultre, 22, the mother of his two small daughters — was shot in the neck, shoulder and right arm and was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The two wounded men, Joseph Guzman, 31, and Trent Benefield, 23, were taken to Mary Immaculate Hospital, where Mr. Guzman was listed in critical condition and Mr. Benefield in stable condition.

Police Commissioner Raymond W. Kelly said at a news conference last night that the men’s car had been hit at least 21 times. He said he did not know what triggered the shooting and that it was too early to tell if it was justified. No guns were found at the scene, and no charges have been filed against the men, the police said......

Now if you lived in the city in I grew up in called New York than this does not surprise you.

From the Concrete Loop:

I wish I could say I am surprised, I wish I could say I am shocked, hell I am not even heated, just ice cold about it.

Now the question is what to do next.

Messing with white people's heads..

Messing around at the Oh Hell Naw blog had me thinking about my white-attude.

http://ohellnawl.wordpress.com/2008/04/21/do-whites-try-too-hard-to-relate-to-black-people/

White-attude is my behavior when I get around white folk that get on my nerve.

I have a white voice that I break out every now and than.

I got the best one in town I think, very Ben Stiller with just a touch of Sean Connery in it.

I break it out when ever I get pulled over by the cops, at work or just to fuck with white people in general.

Than I'll do things like if I am driving and I pull up next to a white person and there blasting some rap music, I'll turn my speakers up and hit them with some Meatloaf or Panic at the Disco.

Hell if we get to talking about sports I always defend the white jock, Greatest basketball player? Larry Bird. Boxer? Rocky Marciano, Golfer? Tiger Woods. (just playing).

If I am not carful I can get on some ol Uncle Ruckus mess for real.

But the looks on their face is priceless.

How to make cocaine.

Who the hell thinks this mess up?

What I am Rockin: Chevy P

LOL.

So Lonely

I dont care!!

Snuck away to say my piece on Carmelo being arrested for drunk driving.

Yes he should not have been drinking, no he damn sure should not be driving, or giving the police a hard time when busted.

BUT IF THE COPS CALL YOU AND TELL YOU TO PICK ME UP AND YOU SAY NO!?!?!?

You better believe they are going to have a reason to lock me up for real!

Dare you call your self my girl/fiance/baby mother or whatever La La is to Carmelo, and try to leave me in a jail cell.

There will be a lesson alright a lesson on how to move the hell out of my crib under 30 min!

I said my piece.

Boycotting the Olympics.

Snuck away from the books to just say this.

Boycotting the Olympics thats what I will be doing.

I feel for the atheletes that work so hard to get to this moment but I feel even more for the people of Tibet and Dafur, Sudan. Some say the olympics is about peace, love unity and respect for your fellow man, but you show me where do you see that in Tibet or Sudan. At some point people should stand up and take a stance for the well being of their fellow man as opposed to looking out for their own self centered needs.
I am not watching it.
