Six percentage points is the price Barack Obama could pay on election day for being black.

That disturbing calculation was found in a groundbreaking new Associated Press-Yahoo News poll conducted with Stanford University which probes the effect of the Democratic presidential candidate's race on his historic campaign for the White House.

"There's a penalty for prejudice, and it's not trivial," Stanford University political scientist Paul Sniderman told the AP.


Here is the thing, I don't trust polls, mainly because I never took one, or at least one that was broad casted all over the planet.

And I don't have any friends that have taken one either.

So I always wonder who the hell are they asking?

I treat polls with as much disdain as I have for statistics.

I HATE STATISTICS.

Both of which can be twisted to say what ever you want them to say as long as you ask the right question to the right person in the right place, and of course as long as you leave out information as well.

Like the stat they had running around say that 50% of young black teenagers had a STD.

Of course the neglected to tell you the hard numbers behind the stats.

If when they say half do they mean 1 out of 2?

2 out of 4?

How many of those kids did they ask?

I mean if you ask a 100 black kids and 50 come up positive than yeah that's 50%

But if you asked 1000 white kids and 25% of that number comes up positive, well you do the math.

Where they low income or upper class?

Hell did you go to a clinic and ask?

I would think you would find a lot of smoking ass in a health clinic.

Same thing with polls, if your polling a bunch of rednecks at a Klan rally in the middle of South Carolina than yeah I guess they wouldn't be inclined to vote for Obama.

It's called cooking the books, now some may find motivation out of it others can find despair and want to quit.

Me I find it annoying as hell.

They have been saying he could lose for being black the moment he ran for POTUS.

Hell they have been saying I would lose for being black, the day I was born.

He is still running and I ain't dead yet.

Now far be it from me to tell some one in need to turn down a helping hand when given to them, but I would always say be careful whose hand your taking.

Do not drink the Kool Aid 7: Why I hate PETA.

Now any one has seen my post regarding PETA, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, know I hate them.

Some might chalk this up to me not liking there involvment in the Mike Vick case, which is true but not because I thought Vick was a great human being, but more because I dont believe an animals life is worth jail time off the rip, and the fact that PETA decided to contribute to a lynching type atmosphere in that case.

I value human life over an animals any day of the week, and this is coming from a dog lover.

But if it came down to me an old Yella well guess who is catching the bullet.

Now who remembers this sick bastard here called Christopher McCuin?



This is the sick puppy who decided to make a happy meal out of his girlfriend Jana Shearer.



Now I avoided blogging about this because:

1- I had to get the jokes out my system first

2- ashamed that it was a brotha

3- I suspect their is mental issues involved and I perfer not to blame people for not being in their right mind.

But leave it to PETA to stick their nose in this and thus forcing me to say something.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has asked that a man waiting for trial for cannibalism be forced to become a vegetarian, Christopher McCuin, 25, was arrested and charged earlier this month with killing, cooking, and partially eating his girlfriend.

Now a letter from PETA Vice President Bruce Friedrich to prison officials asks that he be prevented from "contributing to any more suffering and death by placing him on a healthy, humane vegetarian diet". The request will not be honored, prison officials say, and McCuin will "be fed like everyone else".

I can't make this stuff up.

Now I do not know whats up with this dude chowing down on his girlfriend but I am willing to wait and see but what I do know is game when I see it.

PETA gives a rat's ass about this young lady, (correct that a rat is an animal, a human ass is more like it), they want to push their agenda and use this poor girl's life as a soap box the way they used Vick's.

It cheapened the serious nature of the crime from both a victim and the criminal stand point.

This is not the first or the last time these yahoos have done something like this and it will not be their last, which is why they are on my terrorist watch list.

First I do not buy into statistics because they are usually half truths and can be interpreted into

backing almost any point of view.

And the media and special interest groups including bloggers love to quote them like it was a

Psalm in the Bible.

We have all heard them at some point, and fought like cats and dogs over what they mean.

Secound I do not like the idea of misleading kids into doing their school work out of the fear of

being a statistic.


Striving for better should be emphasis enough.

Third why does this reek of the White Knight syndrome.

The media has been using stats to beat blacks over the head for years now here is this one white
dude using it to "inspire" some black kids now its all good.

I admire his cleverness but please, he is not the first who has tried to scare the kids into doing

work.

Any teacher worth her salt does it.

But maybe I am being to cynical, if the kids are showing some motivation than what can you

say?

King Pardons Gang Rape Victim

Tuesday, Dec 18

In Saudia Arabia a 19 year old gang rape victim known as "Girl of Qutif" after her home town, was pardoned from her six month prison sentence and 200 lashes for being alone with a man who was not a related to her, by the Saudi King. The woman who met the man to retrieve a picture of her self because she had recently married, was pulled out of the car by seven men and raped.

The sentence of the men ranged from 10 months to 5 years, which was raised to 2 to 9 years after an appeal.

(But here is were it gets interesting.)

International outrage over the sentence prompted unusually strong words from President Bush, who said if the same thing had happened to one of his daughters he would be "angry" at the government that didnt protect the victim. The White House called the sentence "outrageous". (outraged huh?)

National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said the king "made the right decision" by pardoning the woman.

"Certainly we are pleased that the action occured" said State Dept. Deputy Tom Casey. "I think every was rather astonished by the initial verdict, and I hope this puts this case to rest"

Saudi Officials have been wary of hurting there image in the eyes of the United States. (Is that some type of joke?)

Dutch F-16 fighters with search equipment conducted overflights. Dogs sniffed for the body. Investigator interviewed hundreds of potential witnesses and re-arrested several suspects. At times it seemed that Aruba it self was on trial as some U.S. politicians and journalists assailed its ability to investigate the case". (All that for one little white woman).

A Texas woman who says she was drugged and gang raped by Halliburton-KBR co-workers in Iraq was to testify Wednesday before the House Judiciary Committee about safety of Americans working over seas for U.S. contractors. The Victim, Jamie Leigh Jones, claims that after the attack the company kept her under guard inside a shipping container and warned her she would lose her job if she reported the rape.

Rep. Hank Williams a Ga, Dekalb county Democrat and member of the committee is demanding answers on behalf of Jamie Leigh Jones . Since military as well as the Justice dept have no jurisdiction to purse criminal charges against private contractors in Iraq the only course of action of the victim is to file civil law suit against the company. (So the rapist walk?)

I wonder why is that?

Maybe if Megan Williams, Pfc. Johnson, The lady of Dunbar, and now Jones had the brains to hold a can of oil while being raped they too could get the attention of the White House like the "Girl of Qutif".

Or maybe having influential parents?

From the AP: Attorney General Michael Mukasey refused Tuesday to be rushed into deciding whether he considers waterboarding a form of torture, saying simply he understands the "intense interest"in the issue now at the heart of an inquiry into video taped interrogations of terror suspects that were destroyed by the C.I.A.

In his first news conference, Mukasey relied on his nearly two decades as a federal judge to push back on questions about his thoughts on waterboarding, much as he had done with senators who asked before voting to confirm his nomination Nov 8.

Mukasey he has yet concluded a review of Justice Department memos to determine whether waterboarding amounts to torture, which would deem it illegal.

ATLANTA (Reuters) - Black Americans are 10 times more likely to be imprisoned for illegal drug offenses than whites, even though both groups use and sell drugs at the same rate, according to a study released on Tuesday.

Almost all large counties in the United States showed sharp disparities along racial lines in the sentencing of drug offenders, the study by the Washington-based Justice Policy Institute showed.

There were 1.5 million drug arrests out of 19.5 million drug users in 2002, it said. About 175,000 people were incarcerated for a drug offense, of which half were black, even though blacks account for 13 percent of the U.S. population, it said.

The study looked at data from 198 U.S. counties with the biggest population. Its findings were similar to others on the subject, but it is the first to look at relative incarceration rates at a local level.

"What you keep seeing is this towering drug admission rate for African Americans and a very small rate for whites. In many cases, the admission rate for whites is smaller than the (percentage of whites in the) whole population," said Jason Ziedenberg, the institute's executive director.

Another man goes free after serving hard time for a crime he did not commit.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported yesterday the release of another man wrongly convicted of rape.

Lets see that is:

1- Calvin Johnson Jr., convicted in 1983 of rape, aggravated sodomy, and burglary in College Park Ga. Served 15 and a half years before in 1999 exonerated with the help of Innocence Project (New York).

2- Douglas Echols convicted in 1987 of rape and kidnapping and robbery in Savannah. Exonerated in 2002 with the help of Innocence Project (New York).

3- Samuel Scott with Echols convicted in 1987 of rape and kidnapping and robbery in Savannah. Exonerated in 2002 with the help of Innocence Project (New York).

4- Clarence Harrison, convicted in 1987 of rape, robbery, and kidnapping in Decatur Ga. In 2004 exonerated with the help of Innocence Project (Georgia).

5- Robert Clark Convicted in 1982 of rape kidnapping and armed robbery in East Atlanta. In 2005 exonerated with the help of the Innocence Project (Georgia and New York).

6- Willie Otis “Pete” Williams, Convicted in 1985 of rape, kidnapping, and aggravated sodomy in Atlanta. In 2005 exonerated with the help of Innocence Project (Georgia).

7- John White convicted in 1979 of rape and robbery. In 2007 exonerated with the help of Innocence Project (Georgia).


This is just in Georgia, were not talking about not the rest of the country.

This is becoming very common place now, what always amazes me is that when they show these men they seem so calm, peaceful, forgiving.

I wonder how these men come out not having hate tattooed on their heart.

How do you not hate the judge, the DA, the jury the prison, the victim, white people, women, anything?

How do you not feel bitter about having your time in life robbed from you what in some cases maybe just plain old set up by the police and DA?

How do not want to act like an Islamic fundamentalist and murder everything moving?

With God in their heart I guess.

I know me, I would hate every living thing on this planet.

I know I would come out of there ready to do something that would send me back to prison with the quickness.

God could only save me, and he would have a tough time doing it.

But you know the sad thing about this that know realize is the there are two injustices that are done here.

The wrongly convicted and the victim of the rapes.

Just because these men were innocent does not mean that a crime did not take place.

Those women were raped and they were robbed of there opportunity to justice by what I would say less than competent police and DA work.

But no one ever puts these people up to task for it.

Hell the DA in the Duke Lacrosse case was disbarred for trying to put those boys on trial.

These men served hard time! 16, 15, 15, 17, 23, 28 years served by these men!

Just "oops my bad".

No disbarment no firing no pensions snatched back.

Naw family it cant be me, I am not that good of a person to not want a pound of flesh if that was done to me.

I would kill.

Thats why I think I need to take my butt to church I need some of that God love to keep me sane.
